I believe true and sustainable health transformation can be achieved gently using natural medicines and by making a few simple changes. I use any combination of the following treatment tools and modalities when formulating your personalized treatment plan:

Herbal Medicine

Medicinal plants have been used for centuries for a reason. Plants contain compounds that can powerfully change our physiology and restore natural balance. Medicinal plants can interact with other medications, so they should only be used under the guidance of a health professional. When dosed and prescribed appropriately, plants are one of our best healing aids. I frequently use dried herbal extracts, custom liquid herbal tinctures, and medicinal teas with patients.

Clinical Nutrition

So often I hear "I don't know what to eat." Finding out the right way to eat for you is essential for your healing and long-term health. Clinical nutrition is all about feeding your body what it needs taking into account your food intolerances, nutritional deficiencies, and health problems. Giving your body the foods and nutritional supplements you need is powerful medicine.

    Homeopathy

Homeopathy can be a surprisingly powerful medicine that allows a body and mind in turmoil to restore harmony gently and effectively. Homeopathic remedies are selected on an individualized basis after close observation of the individual's emotional, mental, and physical presentation. It is highly personalized medicine and effective prescribing requires skill and proper training.

    Counselling & Emotional Support

Health problems are often linked with stress, trauma, burnout, and negative beliefs. Even if you can't eliminate all the stressors, learning new coping methods and strategies improves your resilience. Supporting your complex mind, emotions, and nervous system can improve your joy and satisfaction in life and help your body to heal. I draw from my training in CBT, Somatic Experiencing Therapy, and Holistic Counselling to help you move through mental and emotional blocks that may be in your way.

    Soft Tissue & Visceral Manipulation

When soft tissue or joint mobility is limited by adhesions or restrictions, I use gentle manipulation techniques and maneuvers to help improve mobility of the tissue to improve the function of joints and organs.

    Movement

Most of us are aware that exercise is good for our health but it can be hard to find the motivation to get started or to know which types of movement are most appropriate for our fitness goals and physical and mental health. Movement has the power to dramatically transform your physical and mental health and can be used therapeutically to treat a wide range of conditions. I help guide patients toward the physical movement that's right for them taking into account their current health and long-term goals.

    Detoxification

We are bombarded by toxins in our daily lives through the air we breathe, the things that touch our skin, and through the food and water we consume. An overabundance of toxins can disrupt our natural balance, disrupt our physiology and cause a wide variety of symptoms. The good news is that your toxic burden can be assessed, your elimination of these toxins optimized, and your exposure minimized.

    Vitamin B Injections

Nutrient injections are a highly effective and efficient way to increase nutrient status in cases of nutritional deficiency or compromised nutrient absorption. I offer vitamin B12 injections and vitamin B complex injections.

    Breath Work

So many of us don't breathe properly! Breath is such a simple and powerful healing tool we often overlook. Identifying dysfunctional breathing and practicing healthy breathing can support detoxification and immediately shift our nervous system. This helps us relax, lowers our heart rate and blood pressure, and improves cellular function, mood, energy, brain function, and immune function.

    Prescription Medications

Prescription medications can sometimes be used as part of a patient's treatment plan. Some medications I commonly prescribe include medications to improve gut motility, thyroid hormone, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, antibiotics, antifungals, antidepressants, and medications to help manage blood sugar and blood pressure. I can also refill existing prescriptions for patients who don't have a family doctor.

    Hydrotherapy

I'm sure you know water is very good for us to drink but believe it or not, water is also a powerful healing tool when used topically. Applying water at specified temperatures promotes health and healing. It is an easy, accessible, safe, affordable, and effective treatment option that can be used at home. Hydrotherapy techniques can improve circulation of blood and lymph, reduce inflammation, regulate body temperature, stimulate detoxification, and optimize immune function.

    Lifestyle Coaching

We all engage in self-sabotaging behaviours from time to time. It's very human to knowingly engage in activities we know are bad for us. I'm here to help you make the changes to your lifestyle you know you need to make in order to achieve your health goals. Whether the behaviour you want to change is social media consumption, staying up too late, smoking, cannabis use, alcohol consumption, how and what you eat, lack of physical activity, or whatever else, I'm here to help set you up for success.
